• @livereload …language, just a new way to write the old language. For Scss syntax, just additions to current language.

  • @livereload My only last suggestion is renaming it “Choosing a CSS language” to “Choosing a CSS Preprocessor”. For Sass anyway, not new…

  • @livereload Stylus scares me, too much to go wrong with stripping out so much. I bet it leads to a headache come debug time.

  • @livereload (also, feel free not to put up with me; just super enthusiastic about Sass and Compass. Love you guys too!)

  • @livereload IMO better, confused about the metaprogramming bit, considering the availability of arrays and control directive in Sass.

  • @livereload Well, IMO, the point of Compass is not just the CSS3 mixins, but the plugins, typo and utility mixins, and image sprites.

  • @livereload Personally, I’m a little confused at the descriptions. For one, Compass won’t handle prefixing unless you use the mixins.

  • @livereload Ahh, ok. There’s this: manning.com/netherland to start. @adamstac, @chriseppstein if there isn’t one up, would be happy to write 1

  • @livereload Hmm, good question then. Do you mean Sass+Compass or just the Compass framework? //@adamstac @chriseppstein

  • @livereload I know I’m not either @adamstac or @chriseppstein , but thesassway.com is the first place I send everyone new I teach

  • Can anyone recommend me a Mac IRC client besides Colloquy? I like its ease of use/simplicity, but hate how it handles reconnect & notify.

  • @readitlaterhelp No problem. Read an article exposing the wonders of Digest for the RIL model and wanted to try it. Looking forward to it!

  • RT @chriseppstein: Yep, the CSSWG just tried to use Sass as an excuse for bad syntax for variables in CSS. I set them straight: http://t

  • @divya Didn’t think of that, but yup, that’d work! Much more elegant. Glad that’s worked out!

  • @divya w/o compiling it and testing it, this seems to me as if it’d work: gist.github.com/1871028 Changed [@if](https://twitter.com/if/)($i<$total) to @if($i<$total-1)

  • @divya if I’m reading your code right and understand what you’re looking for, why not: @for $i from 2 through $shadow-count {…}
