@chriseppstein something about $output being too generic a variable name or something :p
-
@chriseppstein I was, that’s why we were forced to change how @singularitygs settings were defined.
-
@chriseppstein yah, partial function caching, caching multiple steps of a framework (where args may be shared) etc…
-
@chriseppstein Especially since 3.3, I’ve run into more global var name issues than I can count from users. Keeping that num low is helpful
-
@chriseppstein I’ve found it useful, especially when working with large libraries that need memo at different points.
-
@estellevw @Fox26Mike interesting as this is the 3rd or so CC example I’ve seen and they’ve looked similar. What’s it actually like?
-
@chriseppstein module avoids each function needing to have its own global map
-
@chriseppstein @ScottKellum it’s meant to be used from within a function instead of wrapping a function
-
@heuckie totally got to get a new computer
-
@chriseppstein @ScottKellum allows for general usage by multiple functions to have it built in, although a cached function is good idea too
-
@ScottKellum @Fox26Mike agreed it’s a best trick, but really? That’s how to subtract?
-
RT @Fox26Mike: This isn’t a joke. This is really how they want you to subtract 12 from 32. No, it’s not just 20 #commoncore http://t.co/Ju8…

This. All the time.

@ericjduran @rupl the tip works! (Just the tip)
-
@rupl yes it is!
-
@rupl oh noes!
-
@addyosmani find myself rebuilding —init functionality every generator.
-
@addyosmani generally speaking I love it. Only real complaint is no native choice of placing files in new folder vs current.
-
A little thing for everyone: A @yeoman generator for working with pointnorth.io!
-
@brad_frost @rupl @ScottKellum this can help you build a compass extension: github.com/Team-Sass/generator-compass-extension
-
Speaking of said print stylesheet, it’s now live. If you’ve ever wanted North as a PDF, you can now totally do that! pointnorth.io
-
Testing North’s print stylesheet. North is 92 pages long as a PDF. Also, Chrome has the best “Save as PDF” print functionality (keeps links)
-
@VinSpee Thanks! Once it’s styled, I can actually share it!
-
And with that commit, MVP development work is done. Now for styling.
