@mr_springtime …fonts around them, what ems are designed for. The rem unit decouples the font relationship.

@mr_springtime because rems don’t compound, they are conceptually very far from em units. You want font sizes relative to the fonts…

@mr_springtime If you’re using rem to hit a certain px value, understand re-evaluate the design; no such thing as px perfect.

@mr_springtime The fact that the most common fallback is px is likewise bad. If you’re doing em fallback, don’t bother w/rem

@mr_springtime When architecting a website, the fact that ems compound should never come as a surprise. If it does, need to re-architect.
