Playing with @astrodotbuild and @sanity_io this morning for my personal blog. It’s a pretty good combo so far! We’ll see what happens past fetching data.
-
@redcrew Thank you!
I’ve had a number of people suggest I do, but no plans to at the moment

From last night, the story of my health over the past year, and how I lost all that weight. Snugug/1585448168778506240

As promised, I’m sharing my story about how I got to my weight loss goal. Warning, it’s really long, and it gets into some medical stuff. Hope it helps some of y’all.

@NETGEAR Sorry, don’t have it anymore. I’ve gone through all standard steps and have gotten to (and done, multiple times, because the router doesn’t respect the do not automatically update setting) manually downgrading the firmware on my router and satellites
-
@NETGEAR I know you (social media manager) probably do, but Netgear has shown me they don’t.
That said, if you want to try, RBR/S 750 4.6.11 and later introduced a bug that prevents one device I own from connecting to my satellites, but works on 4.6.8.5. Up to Tier 2+ support needs.

@alecperkins @Ubiquiti Looks like the uplink is directly to the router?
-
@alecperkins @Ubiquiti Enabling band steering improved both upload and download, but upload is still below (< 1/2) my previous setup’s speed
-
@alecperkins @Ubiquiti Haven’t checked the uplink but I know I’m on the closest point
-
@Ubiquiti Whoops, slower down and drastically slower up.
-
@Ubiquiti I don’t think it’s that; looking at the other APs they all appear to have similar specs. I guess where these really shine is when they have a hardwired backbone. Unfortunate.
-
@Ubiquiti And there are spots where my signal strength is visibly dropping across my house, something that I never saw previously. I feel this isn’t the experience everyone else raves about. Did I pick the wrong APs or something?
-
@Ubiquiti Even standing next to my router my upload speeds are slower than my previous farthest edge, and no where close to what max is.
-
Ok, here’s my first impression of my new @Ubiquiti setup. Fabulous hardware and software design. Disappointing network results. Wifi6 Dream Router + 2 Wifi6 extenders and getting slower up and drastically slower down as previous setup in same places
-
@UPS I’ve filled a missing package report. Would love y’all to follow-up there, with the proof of delivery image
-
@zachleat @eleven_ty What’s the point of metrics if you can’t use them to game some ranking? That’s what I’ve learned from OKRs anyway.
-
@zachleat @eleven_ty Does highest or lowest win?

@MylesBorins Congratulations!

Hey guess what! It happened a-fucking-gain! New system ordered, went with @Ubiquiti as a few people I know have mentioned them and they offer additional systems I’m otherwise interested in.
