@_joemclean How’d it turn out? Love smoked salmon but not set up to cold smoke myself and that’s what I really love.

OMG a barstaurant near has “funnel cake fries” with caramel dipping sauce and they’re exactly as amazing and addictive as you’re thinking they are.

@AlexanderNohe @_davideast @vite_js I maybe have refactored all of ChromeOS.dev’s codebase around it in January.
And may be teaching it to a cohort of people new to tech and web dev.
And may maintain a bunch of plugins for it.
And kinda love the community.
So, me?

@codingdesigner @SassCSS Hahahahaha yah I guess so! 😜
-
For anyone using Breakpoint (@codingdesigner and my @SassCSS library that’s now OVER A DECADE OLD), I’ve just released 3.0.0, fixing warnings around division and dropping non-Node support. I also cleaned up the codebase, too.
-
I’m also almost ready to share how I got here. Maybe September, if I finish up some cleanup by then. (Surprise, I built a PWA to help me)

Today I hit my weight loss goal. I’m officially under 180lb. 13 days, and a wedding and a week-long vacation later than I estimated, but I made it. My next goal is getting below 20% bodyfat, which will hopefully be by the end of the month.

@rachelnabors And thank you for the rec!

@rachelnabors I don’t know! I don’t think I’ve really ever paid attention to tasting notes. This is the one I have now; it’s got a prominent toasted/roasted flavor and is very lightly floral. I don’t dislike it, but also open to other flavors!
-
@rachelnabors you are my most TEA friend, do you have an oolong you really love? It’s one of my favorites but I don’t know much about picking tea.

@CodePen More teaching today, this time state management basics w/a ~20 line, 0 dep basic state manager driving web components. While we can argue about DX, The Platform™️ can handle componentized state-based web apps just fine for many (most?) usecases on its own

Ya know what’s really fun? Getting stuck in a train in a tunnel with no lights, AC, or cell service, for 2 hours.
Ya know what’s more fun? That transforming your commute from 45 minutes to 4 hours.
Unrelated: hi @NJTRANSIT!

@amye Let me know your thoughts! I was thinking if getting one

@Firebase I’ve got a field name in a Firestore collection with brackets in it (something like
foo[0]
). When I useaddDoc
, these are set just fine, but when I useupdateDoc
, I get an “invalid path” error. How can I escape the brackets so updateDoc works as expected? -
