• Taught some web components today, and thought I’d share the @CodePen I used: shows basics of setting up a shadow root from an HTML template, listening for attribute changes, and updating shadow element based on those changes, plus some extras! codepen.io/Snugug/pen/MWVOzER

  • Use @sveltejs? I built a generative form library because I needed one for a side project. Supports groups, repeating inputs and groups, async validation, conditional inputs, custom form components, and more! Check it out!

  • @BillHiggins @AmazonFresh They just opened a big one in northern NJ. They had @NimanRanch ribs, I wanted to cook ribs today, and generally like their pork, so decided to give it a try!

  • @AmazonFresh I was there at 8am, and grocery shopping at 8am is always pleasant, but I suspect that during peak hours their “checkout” experience will either be amazing, or a nightmare of people not knowing what to do. May need to go back just to see that.

  • Just shopped at an @AmazonFresh, ya know, the one where it just knows what’s in your cart? And you “just walk out”? If I didn’t have my concerns about the survailence tech used to accomplish it, I’d go back.

  • For anyone curious where this landed, I started building github.com/Snugug/svelte-mega-forms because that’s what I’m wont to do when I don’t find something that meets my needs. While still very much WIP, I think it’s already pretty useful if you wanna check it out.

  • @rachelnabors Also highly recommend the Aer Disc container: fresh whipped cream from scratch in <60s. Can even make things like raspberry whipped cream with muddled berries in it!

  • @rachelnabors I believe I’ve got the 5200, I’d buy the 750 if I needed to replace it even though it’s very expensive, but the E and A series are both good. Even though some have programmed modes, you don’t need them, so don’t get a pricer model to have them.

  • @rachelnabors Vitamix. Really, any of them, but Vitamix. Might be able to catch the end of Prime Day sales as they usually go on sale during big events

  • @tropicadri Far right item, the dark orange. I swear it’s papaya, but def reminds me of coffee ice cream

  • @tropicadri I’ll take a picture of it tomorrow, maybe it’s a different fruit? I don’t know how to best describe the flavor but that’s what it reminded me of

  • Does papaya normally taste kinda like coffee ice cream? If so I think I’ve found my new favorite fruit. If not, what kinda amazing fruit am I eating?

  • @MikeRiethmuller That’d be great! I’m thinking of refactoring my form solution anyway to something like what you’ve described, so an example would be much appreciated!

  • @MikeRiethmuller Probably, but unclear the exact problem; the object the field is being rendered from is correct, but the rendered field isn’t, after updating the underlying object with the new field value

  • Basically looking for “advanced object-configurable forms for Svelte” where everything I’m seeing appears to be focused on making simple forms with really heavy client-side validation.

  • Anyone have a pointer to making input fields repeatable using @sveltejs?I keep having reactivity overwrite the input. Or (maybe) better yet, a form lib that already supports this (as well as form groups, not just simple forms) and can be configured through an object?
