@eaton That’s what we used; Drupal and Entities, although we were totally decoupled. I wonder, if we start with what the API request should look like, where we’d get. Can we model an API request to look like our IA and work backward to get a usable CMS for this kind of content?

@eaton Totally. Your customer testimonial as part of X, Y, Z is a perfect example. I’d be very interested in seeing how others have solved this problem, both technically and content model wise. I wonder if there are learnings that could be applied to rethink content management

@eaton Was tough to get right, but we only had a few items so it Nader it easier. Don’t know if we ultimately succeeded, though. I think the big blocker here are CMSes that assume a flat content model

@eaton I love this breakdown. In the last project I worked on, and may consider for my upcoming project, I had this idea of a “sub” or “embedable” content type which was there reliability and modular bits of this, with hinting to allow for the rest in the API request.
