Had a conversation with some of the speakers at @nordicjs about my thoughts that A) we should work on greater buy-in by browser vendors to implement new interactive elements (like details) and B) start standardizing more (like type-ahead select box)
@nordicjs So questions:
- What are your thoughts on that?
- My standardista friends, what’s the current path to start working on new HTML elements like this?
@nordicjs This stems from my thought that Custom Elements aren’t great for server-side rendering and progressive enhancement (and thus performance and future-friend development), but do feel like a good way to polyfill new interactive base elements
